Steve Humphrey

Guitar, Vocal

Steve Humphrey is anything but a regular guitarist.  Dayton, Ohio’s finest six-string-slinger was bitten by the R&B funk bug early on, growing up around the soul/jazz/funk scene, most notably the Ohio Players before going to Northwestern University to get a degree in Bio-Science.  While in Los Angeles, CA, he played numerous sessions and gigs with recording acts, and he was actually a guitar finalist for the legendary band Chicago.  After marrying and moving back to Dayton, his band ZUMMO opened for many national acts including Joe Perry Project, Iron Butterfly and The Producers.  He has played forChicago, Gino Vanelli, Shalimar, Santana bandmates, The Grass Roots, Ohio Players, Slave, Lane Caudell, and Funk Factory as well as Tony Hightower and Tyler Perry’s TV/Play star Palmer Williams, Jr.  Steve has two children and two grandchildren, and he enjoys golfing, songwriting and landscaping in his spare time.

John Hancotte

Bass, Vocal

John Hancotte grew up in Falls Church, Virginia and moved to Atlanta in 1988. He graduated from GSU in 1991. Since settling down in Cobb County, he has been a steady bassist for multiple groups. He recorded and toured with the bluesy jam-band Jellyroll, who were tapped to share the stage with many acts including The Dave Matthews Band, Hootie and

the Blowfish, Jethro Tull, and Johnny Winter. He has since turned to corporate band work with Catdaddy and the Creations, Sweetwater Junction, Square One, and most recently, Platinum. Being open to all genres of music is what keeps this man keenly interested in providing the grooves to move bodies. John sings and plays bass guitar as well as upright bass, acoustic and electric guitar, and Chapman Stick.

Rob Williams

Drums, Vocal

From the dirty south to Far East Asia, Rob Williams’s vocal and technical gift for music can be heard. In elementary school, Robert played the trumpet, sang in the chorus, and joined the Atlanta Boys’ Choir. Later, at Southwest Dekalb High School, he started sneaking a listen to other genres like R&B, rap and jazz. That was the start of a growing appreciation for all music. Rob went to Morehouse College on a music scholarship, where he joined Phi Mu Alpha Music Fraternity, played the baritone horn for the marching band, drums and percussion for the jazz ensemble, and sang first tenor in the world renowned Morehouse College Glee Club. That was Rob’s formal education. His real education has been, and continues to be, the work. A firm believer that people who create music make the world go round, Rob has been sharpening his skills as a musician, artist and producer.  Though too lengthy to list here, his list of accomplishments includes recording and touring with blues legend Theodis Ealey, producing with Tricky and Laney Stewart of legendary RedZone Entertainment, and appearing in movie mogul Tyler Perry’s Diary Of A Mad Black Woman.
